Youlearns ("we", "our", "us") helps you turn public YouTube playlists into structured personal courses with progress tracking, AI-generated lesson summaries, and completion certificates. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Account data: email address, display name, and authentication identifiers when you sign up or sign in (including Google sign-in). Learning data: the YouTube playlist URLs you submit, the courses and lessons generated from them, your progress, favorites, notes, and earned certificates. Usage data: AI credit consumption, feature usage, device and browser information, and basic diagnostics. Payment data: when you upgrade, our payment processor handles your card details — we only store the resulting purchase status and receipt metadata.
To create and maintain your account, generate course structures from public YouTube playlists, track your learning progress, issue verifiable certificates, deliver AI features (lesson summaries, Q&A, study aids), process purchases, send essential service messages, prevent abuse, and improve the product.
Youlearns relies on YouTube's official embedded player to display videos. We do not download, re-host, or modify YouTube content. Your interactions with embedded videos are also subject to YouTube's Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy.
When you use AI features (such as lesson summaries or Q&A), the relevant lesson metadata and your prompt may be sent to our AI provider for processing. We do not use your private learning data to train third-party models.
We share data only with the service providers that make Youlearns work — authentication, database hosting, AI inference, and payments. We never sell your personal information. Verifiable certificates contain the recipient name and course title and are accessible by anyone with the verification link you choose to share.
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your courses, certificates, and account at any time from Settings. After deletion, residual copies may remain in backups for a limited period before being purged.
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted transport (HTTPS), row-level security on our database, and least-privilege access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your data.
You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, use the controls in Settings or contact us at support@youlearns.com.
Youlearns is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated within the app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
